Using 33 multicolored hand-cut polished stone marblesincluding jade, obsidian, jasper, and sodalite--this is the solitaire game that originated in the court of Louis XIV in 1697. Traditionally known as "peg solitaire," the game is played by removing the central stone and then "jumping" stones to remove them from the board (and placing them in the circular tray). The game is mastered when one stone remains--in a perfect game, the final stone rests in the center spot.
